I’m Finn O’Ryan, a motivated and focused third-year student on the Media and Communications (BA Hons) course at Birmingham City University.
Throughout my three years at University, I have been able to develop my technical media skills in a range of roles and responsibilities, from directing and camera operating, to sound monitoring and even presenting. However, I have discovered my main interest lies in post-production and video editing, as I thrive in an environment where I am able to apply my creative outlook in order to ensure the final outcome is finely tuned to the highest standard possible.
Alongside my degree, I have had opportunities to explore my passion for video editing and production further, working alongside marketing professionals such as British American Group to produce video content, as well as applying my skills within the charity sector in order to promote fundraising campaigns and appeals.
This has inspired my long term goal of applying the skills that I have learnt from this course to a career in the charity sector, producing video content and digital materials in order to support their truly important aims and bring their messages to life.
