Personal statement
Graduating from University with a BA in Media and Communication, I have focused my main modules on Television Production and Events Management. I have been involved with the production of multiple events for modules during my course – as well as gaining experience with multiple companies who produce events in different capacities. Within the events sector, I am ambitious too focus my work towards Exhibitions and Conferences.
Some of the events that I have worked on range from charity fundraising events; networking conferences; educational talks and exhibition showcases.
I have also had the opportunity to gain experience in producing and presenting video/tv content. Producing a ‘magazine style’ web show for our first-year module gave me the practical experience of working in a live studio environment, while in the second year of my studies, I worked as a Production Assistant on an online game show, thus giving me experience in the administration side of production. I also presented Scratch TV – the university online magazine show that would be broadcast once a term on YouTube, as well as presenting and appearing other projects such as “On The Beat” (2019) and “You Are What You Eat” (2019).
Outside of university, I enjoy listening to music and attending concerts – with Taylor Swift; The 1975; Dua Lipa and Post Malone being some of my most listened to artists. Over the last few months, I have had the opportunity to see more artists live and wish to continue doing so as musicians go on tour.
