I am currently studying towards a BA Hons Media and Communications degree, specialising in Events and Exhibitions at Birmingham City University - due to graduate in July 2020.
I am a creative and open-minded individual who is enthusiastic to work in the Events Management Industry. I also have an interest in Public Relations too. Throughout my three years at university, I have studied the modules of Events and Exhibitions in Context and Production, Fandoms and Subcultures, Media Content and Engagement, Promotional Culture and have produced multiple Live Projects.
Undertaking these events modules, I have produced and managed three live events:
- A Charity Christmas game night for Cancer Research. (Group Work)
- A DJ/Karaoke Night for Comic Relief (Individual Work)
- An Education Seminar Event 'The Dog Education Project' for Channel 4's Puppy School Canine Behaviourist Hannah Molloy. (Group Work)
I have gained a lot of personal and professional skills by producing these events.
While completing these modules and producing live events, I believe I have been able to practice my skill sets practically and theoretically. This includes organisation, client management, marketing and promotion, time management, finance management, and teamwork - attached in the links section will be my CV and portfolio demonstrating my production work and other skills in my current career field.
