I’m a 21 year old, London based production assistant and runner, freelancing alongside my final year of media production at Birmingham City University. Currently I specialise in television, with passions for digital content too.
From placements with Sky News and The Farm Group, to running on Children in Need, Strictly and The Elections, to most recently production assisting for the likes of Alfa Romeo, Amazon, British Airways and Shell, I’ve created the website linked below to visually represent my work.
Graduation is approaching, and so please feel free to get in touch, or share this site with any contacts whom may be in need of an extra hand…
Currently, I am in my final year at BCU doing a BA Media Productions degree. In taking on this course, it has driven me even more to pursue the career of presenting.
I have grown into the media industry and have experienced what it takes to be a presenter, primarily a radio and television presenter, as I have personally took on this role and have achieved a greater understanding of this profession.
My main objective is to get into the television industry and become a presenter for television shows and groundbreaking awards. Hopefully, through acknowledgement and the connections of others, I will be able to build myself to a point where I can have my own television show.
With the use of social media, I am using Instagram, my personal website and my upcoming Youtube channel to break myself into this field. From visiting these online platforms you will get to understand my nature and see why presenting is destined to cross paths with I, Imani Robinson.

My name is Ben Wilkins and I am a final year student studying Media Production. I will graduating in 2020. I was originally going to study Accounting at University but I did not feel it was for me. At the time I really enjoyed watching films and TV, and was interested in what went into producing them. I can safely say that changing to Media Production has been one of the best decisions I have ever made as I have enjoyed every minute of my course.
My main goal is to obtain a job in television as I have a passion for this part of media and have taken part in a number of different productions during my time at university. Whilst undertaking these productions I have taken on a range of roles, including director, camera operator and editor. This shows that I can easily adapt to different roles and situations.
Another passion of mine is sport and I would love in the future to mix this with a role in television. One of my projects involved filming two local lower league football matches.
My name is Sam Purnell, I am a third year Media Production student at Birmingham City University.
I am due to graduate early July 2020 and in my three years at BCU I have honed my skills as a media professional.
When I graduate I would like to pursue a career as a Television Director possibly working for companies such as Netflix, ITV and Channel 4.
I have experience working in the media industry under companies such as Mammoth Productions who frequently work with ITV, and shoot shows like Endeavour which are major successes that I was lucky enough to be a part of.
I look forward to whatever challenges the future holds.
