About:
An explorative and innovative creative whose interests lie within public relations and events management. With a passion for creating relationships between organizations and the public, I have taken on a variety of roles to develop my skills in these areas.

In my graduating year of university, I want to work with a company that encourages the growth of individuals and communities and I am willing to work on multiple projects to gain this experience.

Living in Birmingham, I have also engaged with the music scene by going to music gigs as well as organizing my own. This taught me how to organize, structure promotional campaigns and content, as well as writing for the media. This, amongst other influences, inspired me to further challenge myself by becoming a project leader with O2 Go Think Big. I am in the process of delivering creatives event titled ‘The Curl Culture’, showcasing Afro-Caribbean talent in terms of independent entrepreneurs, creative vendors and musical talent.

Take a look at my external links as well as my slide show to view some of my work.

Projects: WM Generation, Beatfreeks, O2 Project leader, The Curl Culture (Independent event), Festival of Audacity, Chinese new year - Birmingham Hippodrome.

Work Experience: One Black Bear (PR agency), Kinetic PR (PR agency), Fraser communications (PR agency), Curly Treats 2018 (Volunteer), Fire Records (PR intern, music label)

About:
I'm currently in my final year at Birmingham City University studying Media and Communications, specialising in PR. Haven experienced the workings of PR over the last three years through work experience and modules within university such as promotional culture. I have engaged in the planning of campaigns, pitching of ideas, analysis of potential crisis communication and general reputation management. Based on that I aim is to pursue a career in PR by working either in-house or within an agency as I learnt that this is the field within the media sector that I am best suited to.

My interest in food, beauty and fashion is the driving force of my PR career, therefore working in these sectors would be ideal. Hence currently, I am a PR practitioner for various clients which entails me managing social media accounts, working alongside creatives, organising events and searching for various publication opportunities.
Although it has been drawn to my attention that the media industry is not one of ease I believe my hard-working ethic and creative ability will enable me to successfully handle the workings of such an environment.

Pathway:

About:
Whilst on the last stretch of completing a degree in Public Relations, I am currently on the hunt for a job within a well established and innovative PR agency specialising in the hospitality and leisure industries.

Previous professional experience includes working for internationally recognised corporations, such as the likes of McCann and John Lewis as well as local PR agencies, with the most recent being East Village PR. Through my work with industry leading professionals, I have learned how to create engaging content, behavior-changing campaigns and deliver exciting events. Some of the biggest clients I have worked on to date include Harvey Nichols, Vauxhall, Chuppa Chups, and Malmaison Hotels.

Through various PR undertakings, I have been able to develop a broad set of skills. Practicing media relations and blogger outreach means that I have to rely heavily on my communication skills. This work alongside my proficient knowledge of English, German, Russian and Bulgarian, means that communications skills are currently one of my main strengths. I have also taken a keen interest in photography, and my inquisitiveness to learn and my eye for aesthetics means that I have also been successful in running Instagram food and lifestyle blogs. My food blog, in particular, has achieved local recognition, and I have worked with well-known brands like CoOp and Boston Tea Party to create paid content. Alongside this, it has also been recently nominated for the Midlands Food Awards.

Taking my passion for the food and hospitality industries one step further, I have set up my own PR and social media agency - Brumlicious PR, as part of my final project at university. Helping local businesses start conversations and increasing awareness amongst their target audiences has been my mission as I thrive to showcase the best Birmingham has to offer. The current client portfolio consists of a boutique hotel chain - pentahotels, and an independent luxury chocolatier - The Chocolate Quarter. Apart from creating content and running the social media channels for my clients, I have also organised blogger and networking events, set up a crowdfunding campaign and have supported the overall PR activities of the brands.

Examples of my work and employer testimonials can be found in the slideshow.
For further information on my skills and experience please see my CV attached to this page.

About:
Hello there! My name is Puteri and I am currently in my final year of pursuing a degree in Media and Communications at Birmingham City University. I always strive to create a better version of myself by pushing myself out of my comfort zone.

Currently, I am handling the PR work for a Korean Boyband, BTS, fanbase called UKBTSARMATION and together we are planning exciting events that we wish to hold this year! Previously, I did a placement with the International Science Council where I helped them design several things such as the cover for their Annual Report and create a new business card for them to use. Therefore, not only am I comfortable with working with people, I also am very skilled in Adobe Photoshop as I find this an outlet for me to express my creative side.

Other than that, I also enjoy volunteering in various events. The most memorable ones for me were when I volunteered for a soup kitchen in 2016 and a Malaysian Games 2017 held in Nottingham. This has given me the opportunity to meet new people and also broaden my social network.

In my slideshow, you can find examples of my work, pictures I took of the events I was involved in and also what they said about me!

About:
I'm a final year student and soon to be graduate studying a degree in media and PR at Birmingham City University. My main aspirations are to gain employment within the public relations sector, working either within an agency or in-house. I've had previous experience undertaking internships at different agencies across the city, along with working in-house for a fashion brand and have worked in paid roles for multiple clients.

My aim is to work within the fashion sector and I'm flexible with the brand or agency I work for. For my final year project at university I setup my own consultancy, Walton PR, the website and examples you can see within this portfolio. I worked for multiple clients undertaking different activities, from event organisation, social media management and brand development, this is all referenced throughout. Undertaking this project was a major experience for me, I learnt that being organised within my chosen industry is key, I enjoyed juggling the multiple activities I'd do daily for my different clients. For example, I could be doing anything from researching bloggers to invite to a fashion event, to securing radio and press opportunities for my music client, I enjoy the flexibility of using my skill set for multiple activities.
Check out my slideshow to see just a taste of the different campaigns, events & activities I've worked on over the past 3 years.
